Good luck to our Edison Academy students as they head to Louisville, Kentucky to compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference June 20th-24th. We are very proud to have Robyn Palompo- Commercial Baking, Cynthia Lowing – Restaurant Services and our Crime Scene Investigation team of Ashley Diaz Soto, Maha Maghraoui and Isabelle Malave represent Edison High School and the Academy.


IBEW Local #26, Finalists for FCPS Business Partner of the Year 2016

Our Edison Academy partners, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #26, were named a finalist for the 2016 FCPS “Business Partner of the Year” award. IBEW #26 was recognized at the FCPS Honors Gala at George Mason University for their contributions of financial support and work with our students to help create a pipeline from education to the workforce for students who are pursuing careers in the electrical engineering and construction field. IBEW Local #26 also support the Chantilly Robotics program financially and the Foundation for Applied Technical Education program at Spring Village.


Edison Academy is excited to be working with HVAC Excellence to earn Accreditation. This process will allow us to be reflective and continue our growth, build upon our successes and ensure a high quality experience for our students.





Summer Internships & Career Employment

Accepting applications and/or resumes for summer employment opportunities from high school sophomore and juniors are:

  • George Washington’s Mount Vernon –
    • Operations and Facilities Management/Maintenance.
  • Smithsonian Facilities Management
  • Wegman’s - Culinary

Many of these organizations and other Edison Academy business and industry partners will also be hiring graduating Seniors for career entry opportunities. NOVA SySTEMic Solutions introduces thousands of students to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through summer camps designed for elementary through high school students. The camps focus on hands-on project based learning that provides students an excellent opportunity to explore STEM fields. The VEX 1 Robotics Camp for rising 6-12th grade students will be held at Edison July 11-15th.
