Summer Reading

logoHave you heard about the summer reading incentives for this year?  Students can participate in the Fairfax County Public Schools’ reading program Book Your Summer and choose books and activities to earn a chance to win $50 in books or a new laptop computer.  Visit the FCPS official Book Your Summerwebsite here for more information, to download a READ card, or enter your student’s summer reading activities for a chance to win!    http://www.fcps.edu/is/book/

Want twice the fun? Your children can participate in the Fairfax County Public Libraries’ summer program  Read For the Win  to earn a coupon book full of free things and discounts on fun activities and items. The great thing is that your child’s reading choices can simultaneously count for both FCPS’s and FCPL’s programs!   For more information on Fairfax County Public Libraries’ Read for the Win sign up at a branch or online at:  www.fairfaxcounty.gov/libraryHappy Reading

Student Information System (SIS) Parent Accounts

Halley Elementary is providing SIS Parent Accounts to each parent of a student at our school. This will enable access to view your student’s attendance, report card grades, and additional information, establishing another form of communication between home and school.

Each parent will receive a letter in the mail providing a web address, activation key, and directions on registering for your account.  You should be looking for this letter to arrive during the week of April 27, 2015.

Once you receive your letter you can register and find out more information here. A support video is also posted below.
