Meet the PES 5th Grade Team

  Mrs. Angie Bagley, fifth grade teacher, is excited to start her first year of teaching the 5th Grade at Providence. She previously taught  2nd, 3rd and 4th grade in New York City where she was born and raised. Mrs. Bagley earned her bachelors degree in sociology and early childhood/childhood education at Lehman College and her masters in Literacy at City College of New York. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Bagley  spends her time with her husband and daughters Katie and Kylie. She enjoys reading, visiting museums and traveling.
escueta Ms. Escueta is starting her 27th year of teaching in Fairfax County Public Schools. She has taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade while working for FCPS. She lives in Fairfax City in the Providence neighborhood. Some of Ms. Escueta’s favorite things to do are to read and exercise. She also loves teaching math! Her favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and her favorite college basketball team is the Duke Blue Devils. When she is not at school working you can find her in her yard gardening or spending time with her kids, Maggie & Charlie, and their dog, Bogey.
gearhart Mrs. Lynn Gearhartis excited to start her eighth year of teaching the 5th Grade at Providence. She previously taught a 2nd/3rd grade Special Day class in Northern California where she grew up. Lynn earned her bachelors degree in early education and special education at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA and her masters in Curriculum and Instruction at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. When she is not teaching, Lynn spends her time with her husband Thomas, two boys James and Mark, and 5 year old Labrador, Buster, cheering on their San Francisco Giants. You can find her visiting her Dad’s ranch in CA, catching up with her older sister and twin sister, and traveling whenever possible.
mcneil Ms. Caitlin McNeil, 5th Grade teacher, is extremely excited to start her first year of teaching at Providence. Ms. McNeil graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education last spring at the University of Michigan. Even though she was born and raised in Northern Michigan, Ms. McNeil has spent her summers here in Fairfax, Virginia, living with her grandparents and being a part of the City of Fairfax Parks and Rec camp. In her free time she enjoys playing basketball, drawing, and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines! Go Blue!
paniccui Mr. Steve Panicucci, Fifth Grade teacher, is starting his sixth year as a teacher at Providence Elementary School. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Speech Communications at Edinboro University and his Masters Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Pittsburgh. In his spare time, Mr. Panicucci enjoys reading, disc golfing, exercising, traveling with his wife (who also works in Fairfax County Public Schools), walking his dogs Indiana and Rey, and watching any Pittsburgh sporting event
pinski Ms. Leeanne Pinski, Fifth Grade teacher, is excited to become part of the Providence family. With six years of experience in FCPS, she is looking forward to continuing to learn and grow as an educator. Ms. Pinski was born in Buffalo, NY and loves to cheer on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Developmental Psychology and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Pittsburgh. She recently completed her Administrative Degree from the University of Virginia. In her spare time, Ms. Pinski enjoys running, visiting the beaching, cooking, baking, and watching sports.
putman Ms. Lindsay Putman, Special Education teacher, is very excited to start her fourth year at Providence. Although she lives in Virginia, she was born and raised in Rochester, NY! At SUNY Fredonia, she received her Bachelor's degree in Childhood Inclusive Education and her Master's degree in Literacy. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, doing crafts, and being outdoors. Along with her many interests, she has a strong love for dogs, but a stronger love for giraffes!
sanchez Mrs. Andiana Sanchez is excited for her second year at Providence ES as a Special Education Teacher. Previously, she worked as an IA with FCPS for the past 3 years. She is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Special Education with George Mason University and has received an Art Degree from University of Maryland. Andi enjoys painting, reading, crocheting, and making fun items for her guinea pigs.
walker Mrs. Turquoise Walker, ESOL Teacher, grew up in Fairfax County. She is beginning her 19th year of teaching in FCPS, having worked with 1st-6th grades over the years. This is her second year at PES. She graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Spanish, and from George Mason University with a Master’s degree in Multilingual-Multicultural Education. In her free time, Mrs. Walker enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, reading, and ballroom dancing. She and her husband are expecting their first child in November.
