Advanced Placement Studio Art

  • 2-Dimensional Portfolio:  Design, Digital Art, Photography
  • Drawing Portfolio
  • 3-Dimensional Portfolio:  Sculpture, Ceramics

National ART Honor Society

  • Requirements include high GPA in the Arts, portfolio submission, and personal statements
  • Students graduate with NAHS Honors (cord at graduation) after completion of arts service hours

Partnerships within the Community and Beyond:

  • AIGA (the Professional Association for Design)
    • Guest speakers (working design professionals – web designers, art directors, animators, graphic designers, etc.) visit the Computer Graphics classes about once a month through the year.  In addition, we have visited working studios and design firms in DC:  I-Strategy and Sapient
  • Torpedo Factory Artist Mentorship Program
    • Select WP Art students work with professional artists throughout the year creating artwork. Exhibition and Awards Ceremony dates are posted on the homepage and on our Visual Arts website.
